Look, I’m smiling.
Does that mean that I’m happy? Does it mean that I’m not going through something painful? I may be smiling, but deep down inside, I’m breaking. I pretend nothing is wrong with me when I’m in front of people but when I’m all alone and nobody can hear me, I let myself break. I cry, I scream, I whimper, yearning for someone to save me. But I only build walls around my true feelings and hide them with my smile, waiting for someone to tear those walls of mine down.
